Laughing

I posted the pictures below at my mom's, but didn't have time to write anything. The first picture was taken at her cousin Zoie's birthday party. It's hard to believe she's 1 already! The rest were some bath time pictures. She LOVES her bath. Drying off, putting on lotion, and getting dressed, not so much.
It's been a while since I've posted. Nothing too exciting has been going on. We went to the mall the other day to look at the Christmas trees, but she was sound asleep in her stroller the whole time. We went out to eat afterwards. This was the first time we had attempted this since she was 2 weeks old. She did great! The place was packed and she was busy looking at everything going on around us.
Yesterday Sam and I went to a marriage conference by Les and Leslie Parrott. Well, it was just Les because Leslie was home sick. Anyways, it was great! I was pretty nervous to leave Delight all day. I knew she would be fine at my mom's, but I had never been away from her for near that long (7am-4pm). It was so nice to be with Sam and feel like a wife again, instead of just a mommy all the time.
Last night I was changing Delight's diaper and I did something to make her smile. I looked at her again and said "mommy's funny!" (saying funny loud and fast). She gave the biggest laugh! I of course kept doing it and she kept laughing, probably a dozen times! It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. Sam wasn't there at the time and she certainly wasn't going to do it again when he got home. I can't wait for him to see her do it. It'll be neat when she's laughing all the time.
That's all I got for now.

laughter is one of the best gifts, isn't it? i remember when amia first laughed, laughed for the very first time. i about fell over with love! i still try to make her laugh. it's a sound i crave. however, her daddy is much better at getting her to laugh than i, as you might imagine. :)

good on you for getting away. it is hard though even now it is hard for me to let go of the feeling that i am responsible for them and so i should be there with them. it is the best feeling though when you can just be together, the two of you. cherish those moments and work hard at making them often!!!

now i'm not a fairy fanatic or anything but you do know a babies first laugh gives birth to a new fairy. (cail just got the tinker belle movie for her birthday, really cute.) i agree with em laughter from my babies is a sound i crave. both the girls were swinging at the park today and laughing the whole time. i want to go back tomorrow just to hear them again!!

don't forget to enjoy your job!
