Funny Farm

Delight gets more adventurous each day. She's always chasing the dogs, bonking her head, crawling after me and cry "mama" after she bonked her head...The world seems to be her obstacle course. She likes to crawl over summer, over her rocking horse, or whatever is standing in her way.

She pulled this box off the couch and crawled in it. She sat in there and played for a while and was very proud of herself.

This is how she transports her toys when she's crawling. She carries them in her mouth. Pretty creative, isn't she?

My little puppy. I caught her playing in the dog kennel.

Here's our little water baby. She LOVES her bath still. The tub is finally finished (yay!!), but the bathroom still has a little ways to go. At least the baby can splash now!

Playing with cousin Savannah

We got 27 baby chicks in the mail Sunday. 13 of them are meat birds and will be butchered in a couple months. This little guy is a top hatter (crested). He's pretty cute, looks like he has a cotton ball on his head :)

It was the weekend of farm animals. We get this guy at the sale barn on Saturday. Delight's first trip to the sale barn. Don't know what I was thinking, I didn't take any pictures! She loved though and squealed and yelled at all the animals. This guy is a Charlet (sp?) bull (gonna get him cut soon). He's pretty cute, but will be in our freezer next year. I'm hoping I don't get too attached to him.

Delight is now 10 months old and busy, busy, busy! She must explore every inch of the house, chase the dogs, pick all the tiny crumbs off the floor, and test boundaries as much as possible. You think all this would wear her out, but she's like the energizer bunny and never stops! She's certainly wearing me out! We finally baby proofed some of the drawers and cabinets. I can't get used to the latches and am always yanking them open too fast.
The warm weather has been great. Delight loves spending time in her swing and has recently started crying when I go to get her out. She also likes to "help" me put clothes on the line. She really just stands up at the basket and tries to take all my clean clothes and throw them on the ground.
The yard and garden is keeping Sam and I busy. Sam's been working on the bathroom and he's getting really close to being done with the tub, so Delight won't have to take sink baths any more!

Here's Delight driving the car down the lane. She's a multi-tasker. She can drive and eat the steering wheel at the same time.

Girls gotta talk!

She'll love these pictures when she's a teenager....

Having a great time in her kiddie pool.

Her first boat trip. We did a little fishing with Mark and Carol. She was not a fan of the life vest. We took it off when we stopped.

Here she is playing in her cabinet in the kitchen. She knows how to make a mess. I just can't wait till she knows how to clean it up!

Jumping with cousin Amia!

Mommy's little helper shucking some corn.

Here's a few pictures from Delight's 9 month photo shoot. Once again, I waited till she was almost too old to call them 9 month pictures, but oh well.

She's had enough

This picture fits Delight's personality to a T. She loves to yell and be funny and to get you to laugh. She's loud. She'll just yell out of the blue and starts to laugh when I jump. She's very out going. Wants to talk to everyone in town and is just plain goofy. She doesn't seem to be scared of anything either. She chases the vacuum around and tries to grab it.
And did I mention she's loud?
One cute little chick.
