Check out those cankles!

I'm amazed at the size my feet and ankles have swelled to, especially by the end of the day. I never knew my feet could jiggle when I walk :) Sam and I were headed out to worm the goats last night and I tried to put my shoes on, something I haven't done for quite a while. My left shoe went on just fine, but even with the laces loose, I could barely get my right shoe on! I just thought that was pretty incredible (and gross) and just thought you would all appreciate me sharing it with you ;)
I went shopping with a friend today. Thought some walking might speed things along, but I'm thinking it just made my feet swell more.
I'm going to be painting our chicken house tomorrow. I've already painted it once, but our dern goats apparently like the taste of red paint and are chewing the wood to bits. Makes me mad because Sam just built it and he did a great job. So I got this good idea. I bought another gallon of paint and a jar of cayenne pepper. I'm going to mix the entire jar of pepper with the paint and paint every where the goats can reach. Hopefully they don't have a thing for hot stuff, or I'm in trouble.
Tomorrow is my due date. I'm not really expecting to have the baby on that day though. That's the due date the doctors came up with. From charting, I came up with August 3rd (Sunday). If I had to guess, I think I'll have the baby somewhere between Monday and Wednesday. Tomorrow would be great though. My doctor is even on call!

Still Pregnant

I had my doctors appointment today. Not a whole lot going on yet. He said that doesn't mean a much, but the doctor seems to think I'm going to go overdue. He's going to be gone all next week, so I'm hoping the baby will come this week and that my doctor is wrong. I haven't been planning much lately since we don't know when the baby will come, so I think I'm going to get bored soon (especially if I go over). If that happens, I'll probably start posting on here much more than you guys would like to read :)
Here are some belly pictures starting at 12 weeks. I've had a picture taken every month since then. The only one I'm missing is 37 weeks (can't seem to figure out where I put that one), but that was just two weeks ago, so there's not much difference.

12 Weeks

16 Weeks

20 Weeks (gosh, I used to be so skinny!)

24 Weeks

28 Weeks

32 Weeks

39 Weeks and 4 days (today actually)

Here's a picture with my niece, Hope and Sonel that my Mom took today. Sonel is a little boy that's staying with my parents from Haiti. He had surgery on his club. He's a cutie.

Semi-patiently waiting,

Almost Time

I decided to start a blog as a way to share pictures and updates on our soon to be here little one. I thought I better get things up and going now, before the baby's here, and I have a lot less time on my hands. I would have liked to start this sooner, but with our super slow dial-up connection, I haven't been looking forward to it. Needless to say, I'm at my mom's right now (she has high speed internet), and that's probably the only place I'll blog from for my sanity's sake. My goal is to get a new post on here every week once the baby arrives, but we'll see if I stick to that when I could be napping instead.

I can hardly believe it, but my due date is this Thursday! I tried to talk the baby into coming this weekend because my doctor was on call (he shares call with 3 other docs), but it doesn't look promising since it's 7pm Sunday evening. Looks like we have a stubborn one on our hands :) I know that the baby will come when he/she is ready. I'm trying not to be impatient, but it's tough. Things are getting pretty uncomfortable and I want to meet our baby so bad and find out if we have a son or daughter too.

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I'm anxious to find out if I'm dilated at all. I've been having contractions like crazy. It's not very unusual since I've had them every day since the start of my 3rd trimester, but they seem to be more frequent and they're more uncomfortable than before. Hopefully they're doing something.

I thought I would post some pictures from ultrasounds and maternity photos. The first ultrasound picture was done at 20 weeks. The 3D ultrasound was done at 31 weeks. It was so cool! We were having an ultrasound done to make sure everything was ok with the baby because I was having problems with contractions. The technician pulled out the 3D wand and did a video and everything for free!
The photos of Sam and I were taken by my Mom at 33 weeks. Be warned that there will be some bare belly pictures, so if that creeps you out, you might not want to scroll down.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.
